Family vacations are a fun experience for everyone to bond while doing fun activities together. It can also pose learning opportunities for little ones that help encourage and stimulate development. If you’re unsure of a travel destination to take for your next vacation, check out some of these cool and fun attractions for preschoolers that the whole family can enjoy.

The Crayola ExperienceThe Crayola experience
Now here’s a place where your little Picasso can take their art skills to a whole new level. This attraction offers cool and engaging activities for kids, most of which have become digitalized, to let little ones express their wild imaginations. They’ll discover how crayons are made, bring their artwork to life, create their own crayon mold keepsakes, and even get a chance to make their own crayon labels. There is currently only one location in Pennsylvania, but there will be another location expected to open in Orlando later this year.

Lego landThese Discovery Centers are a fun place for kids and adults alike! What child doesn’t love playing with legos? There are many different activities that toddlers and preschoolers can enjoy from building contest and workshops to movies and games. Some locations even have fun rides for kids to go on. It’s also easily affordable compared to other attractions that are offered. Legoland Discovery Center has 6 different locations throughout the U.S. and one in Canada. You can visit their website to find the location nearest you as well as upcoming events. This is definitely one of the places on my to-do list before my kids reach the age of 10!

Gilroy Gardens Family Theme ParkGilroy Gardens Theme Park
This is a great theme park tailored to the younger crowd of 2-6 year olds. It has gentle rides for kids and designed for easy accessibility for parents with strollers. The beauty of this theme park is that it is far less crowded than bigger theme parks and is designed just for preschoolers. It also focuses on the educational institution of horticulture and inspires kids to love and appreciate nature. The park is located in California.

The San Diego ZooSan Diego Zoo
Sure there a wide number of zoos throughout the country and there’s probably one located near you. This zoo, however, carries one of the largest numbers of animal species in the U.S. with over 800. It’s also one of only 4 to feature pandas. Plus, if you’re looking for an attraction where your money is being well-spent, they use 50% of the proceeds to donate towards animal conservation. If San Diego is a little too far out of your reach for a vacation destination, my second choice would be the Audubon Nature Institute of New Orleans. I may be a little biased being it’s located in my home state, but it is amazing. You can visit their Zoo, the Aquarium, or the Butterfly Garden and Insectarium. There’s also an IMAX theatre and a park.

Disney World and DisneylandDisney World
Of course, I couldn’t leave out these two most popular attractions among kids and adults of all ages. Both locations feature some of the best attractions for kids young or old, although you won’t get the same magical reaction in older kids. Your little ones can meet all of their favorite characters, take fun rides, engage in cool activities and so much more. It’s definitely a trip of a lifetime, and I say that also because it’s very costly. There are so many things to do and see that even a week-long vacation isn’t long enough. Disney World is located in Orlando, Florida and Disneyland is in Anaheim, California.

While these featured places are some of the best for younger kids, they are certainly not the only ones. If you’re looking at more of a staycation, you can search and find many fun attractions for preschoolers that are near you. Visit your nearest welcome center to find out what cool attractions and events are available around your home state. You can often find coupons and discounts through brochures and by searching online travel guides for your home state.
